“I Still Find It Hard To Believe That What We Hate Most Is What We Need To Survive” – Lepacious Bose


In 2015, comedienne Lepacious Bose made headlines when she went from a size 32 to size 18. Many people were amazed about her weightloss journey as she looked healthier and more beautiful.

The comedienne noted that the journey to staying healthy continues as she suffers from hypothyroidism-a disorder of the endocrine system in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone.

However, staying healthy comes with a price of working out consistently, which sometimes takes plenty willpower to do. likening that with life’s situation, Lepacious Bose is encouraging us to do what needs to be done to be alive even though it may be hard.

Is anyone really self motivated?
I don’t know…. I just know you do what you have to do. When you are ill you go to the hospital, when you are hungry you eat, when you have exams, you read….it’s just what you need to do.

So by 4am I realized I was still awake (thyroids crisis) I knew there was a possibility that if and when I eventually do sleep off I might over indulge and miss gym class. So I decided to take charge, I had my bath, wore my gym clothes and got into bed. Slept off around 5am, alarm went off at 5:30am…. i almost cried out of frustration. Rolled around in bed till 6am and had to get up.

It’s a simple trick of the mind, wearing the gym clothes to bed keeps your brain alert even while you sleep, you are kitted already, mentally you are at the gym already; there is no way you will over sleep. However if I had not done that, by 5:30am when the alarm went off, I would snuggle deeper under the blanket and justify my sleeping in and missing workout.

If you have to win the battle against #hypothyroidism #pcos #depression#brainfog etc then a consistent workout lifestyle is fundamental…. trust me Weightloss is just one of the benefits and NOT THE MAIN GOAL! It’s just an extra advantage, it’s the least of your reason to work out. I still find it hard to believe that what we hate most is what we need to survive.

One of the worst things about #hypothyroidism is the weakness and tiredness (uninformed people think it’s laziness, nope! It’s a medical condition) it’s ironic that to fight this same weakness and heaviness is to workout, do yoga, to be active, to get your heart pumping! 🤣🤣🤣isn’t that almost hilarious? God does have a sense of humor!

Many times I have asked God WHY? His answer has not changed, He simply replies…….WHY NOT?
