A 90-year old virgin, Miss Agnes Udofia, who has lived all her life caring for other people’s children will be immortalized in Ikot Udobia village in the Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
Punch reported that over 50 men, women, and children gathered to thank God for keeping Agnes, who they thought was their biological mother.
One of the children trained by Agnes and has now grown to be a businessman, Mr. Fabian Udoh, said he had never seen Agnes with a man since he was a child.

According to him, she dedicated her life raising other people’s children, therefore, they want to build a foundation to immortalize her.
Agnes believes she was created by God to live and die without a husband, child, and anything to call her own.
She explained that she has never been married nor had a boyfriend, growing up.
“I was born partially blind and so, no man saw anything good in me. So, I grew up without a man. I have never slept with any man as far as my memory can carry me, not even in my dream. I live my life the way you see me. No feeling for a man. I don’t see it as abnormal.”
She said that the mothers of the children she trained, frequently dropped them with her when they were going to farms, markets or stream.
“I would take care of them until they returned to take their children. I feed them and keep them happy as long as they stay with me.”
