Some people are born with a passion to change lives, they use their knowledge, skills and even resources to make life better for other people without expecting anything in return.

One of them is Oluremi Oyeyemi Adeojo, a Mental Health Nurse who is changing so many lives through her Charity Foundation.

About Oluremi Oyeyemi Adeojo

Oluremi Oyeyemi Adeojo is a Mental Health Nurse in the UK and she is using her knowledge to touch lives in Nigeria through her foundation Soworkiq Charity Foundation.

She has a diploma in Mental Health Nursing from Southbank University and B.sc in Psychosocial Studies from East London University.

She is a mother and a grandmother.

Why She Started Soworkiq Charity Foundation

Soworkiq Charity Foundation was established to cater to increasing needs of the less privileged, disable, orphans, widows and aged people in the society.  SCF addresses and fulfils the basic needs and caters to less privilege in the society through educational support, scholarships, spiritual support etc.

Building A School For The Less Privileged

In 2010 she went to Iyana Offa in Lagelu area for a Church event. She saw many children at the event, they were there all through the night for the vigil.

In the morning, she asked if their school was close to the venue of the church event, but she was told there was no school in that area at all.

She felt moved to do something about it and decided to build a school for the children in that community.

When she returned to the UK she pawned all her gold jewellery and took the money back to Nigeria to buy land and build a school for the less privileged in that community.

Through her, many lives have been changed in that community.

Counselling & Praying For Children Who Have Gone Astray

In London, she tries her best to counsel and pray for children who have joined gangs and are involved in criminal activities.  She also runs Facebook prayer sessions for children on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Running A Nursing Home In Ibadan

Her Foundation has also completed a nursing home in Ibadan.  The aim is to help people who have mental health conditions and also the elderly who have age-related problems like dementia.
